The Amps - Pacer

The Amps - Pacer is a raw, unfiltered slice of mid-90s indie rock that captures the experimental spirit of Kim Deal's post-Pixies musical journey. A cult classic that bridges alternative rock's underground sensibilities with genuine melodic craftsmanship.

About the Artist:

The Amps was a side project formed by Kim Deal (of Pixies and Breeders fame) following the Breeders' initial hiatus. Featuring Deal on vocals and guitar, alongside her brother Jim Deal, this project emerged as a more stripped-down, direct musical expression compared to her previous bands.

About the Album + Tracklisting:

Released in 1995, "Pacer" represents a pivotal moment in Deal's musical evolution. The album contains 12 tracks of unvarnished, lo-fi rock that showcases Deal's distinctive songwriting and raw musical approach. Standout tracks like "Tipp City" and "Full On Idle" demonstrate the album's unique blend of punk energy and melodic introspection.
